Unplug

Recharge

At Windflower Mountain, we encourage you to unplug completely so you can recharge.

Breathe in the mountain air and let go of your stress. Give yourself a much needed break from your hectic every day life. Stop scrolling social media, don’t stress about checking your email, and forget about reading or watching the news. This is a time for you to really let go of everything and recharge.

Enjoy Every Season

Windflower Mountain, like much of Colorado does indeed experience all four seasons. Though our Spring and Fall months tend to feel short and our Summer not as extreme, our Winters are long and beautiful. Also like most of Colorado, we experience snow through much of the year but it typically melts very quickly.

So what do we do in the winter months? There are so many outdoor activities available on Windflower Mountain and in the surrounding areas. Something we never miss are the melodramas in Cripple Creek every Christmas Season. Going to the Butte Theater has become an annual tradition, we’d love for you  to join us! One of our favorite spots in the winter, though, is inside our greenhouse, which is warm year-round. We absolutely love enjoying the natural radiant warmth of the green house with a cup of coffee in our hands, getting a front row seat to watch a snow storm roll in.

Regardless of the season, one of our favorite activities is throwing on our hiking boots and hiking up to the top of Windflower Mountain. We recommend taking some time to explore as you hike.  It truly is breathtaking hiking along the mountain and hearing the cry of a Golden Eagle or watching a Red Hawk soar overhead. Just be sure you hike back down in time to enjoy sitting around a fire pit outside on the patio, chatting, gaming, or making s’mores while you wait for the Milky Way to make its nightly debut.

A city just won’t offer these hushed moments of quiet, calm, and tranquility that you can experience at Windflower Mountain. So don’t let the hot or cold weather stop you from visiting! We love to host year-round and we can’t wait for you to get the chance to unplug and see what Windflower Mountain has in store.
